SRC were out in force at Stafford Half on the 17th March, with Adam, Amy, Immi, Lewis, Rob and Steve all on the roads.
Some notable performances were:
Amy Dewhirst running a 1:26 which puts here 3rd in the all time club records.
Steve Coldicott running a 1:20 putting him 3rd in the veterans club records.
Immi Hopkins running her first half marathon, and therefore a PB, in a very impressive 2:47.

The event is a road based marathon, taking in 3 big climbs, including Pen-y-Pass at mile 2 and a beast of a climb from Waunfawr at mile 22, before a very sketchy descent to the finish. This was the 38th running of the event, and the first for 3 years. Apparently there was a pandemic or something…
On a sunny October morn, Messrs Cornish and Warner took on the 47 Mile ‘Thames Trot Ultra’ fuelled only by happy thoughts and doughnuts. The pair cruised home just as the sun was setting in a shade over 10 hours. Upon finishing, Tony was reported as expressing his disappointment the event was not longer.
