Well done to Chris Ashcroft who came 21st in the Black Country Run this weekend. He ran the course in a time of 40m and 41s.
Stourbridge Running Club had a fabulous turn out to the Blakedown Bolt this year, with 32 members taking part in this annual race. Coming in the top 20, well done to Dan Williams with a speedy time of 42min 57. Grace Allen worked hard to win the title of 2nd lady in 44m 48. Dave Sheppard deserves a special mention coming first in his category with a time of 50m06. The other club members came in fast and furious to show the huge turnout for the red and white vests.
This weekend began with Steve Burch taking on the epic event that is the Grand Union Canal Race of 145 miles. Steve managed a very credible 53 miles before retiring from the race at check point 4.
Members of Stourbridge Running Club were out in force at the Hagley Multi-terrain 10km last week. Rob Colman led the way in 41.18 followed by Chris Ashcroft 42.36, Adam Crompton 43.08, Keith Spokes 45.50, Dave Sheppard 47.22, Adrian Phillips 48.08. Finishing in the 49th minute was Ian Whyatt 49.11, Sebastien Nicolas 49.29, John Coyne 49.45 and Tim Lloydlangston 49.53. Rachel Batchelor was the lone female representing the club finishing with a time of 50.27. Philip Elwell 56.19, Mark Farnan 57.05 and Errol Cumberbatch 61.22 completed the line up.

Stourbridge Running Club had runners out at the Virgin London Marathon and the Shakespeare half marathon.
In London Daniel Williams finished in 3.07.30, Andy Boardman finished in 3.26.05, Mark Lawton in 4.33.20 & Ella Hughes in 5.55.22.
In Stratford-upon-Avon, Rob Woodward finished 1.35.05, Neal Woolhouse achieved a PB in 1.40.50, followed by Mark Farnan in 1.56.23, and Errol Cumberbatch in 2.00.05.
At the Hagley Resolution Run, John Coyne finished the 10k course in 56.27.
