Press Report – 18th March 2019

Stourbridge Running Club had runners out again this weekend, with some continuing their preparations for the upcoming spring marathons. Nicola Jones ran the Shrewsbury 10k in 1.16, while at the Stafford half marathon Daniel Williams finished 1.28.14 and Rob Woodward finished in 1.33.55.

Bridge to Bridge via Port 2019

An ultra & relay race – run solo or as a team of 4. 34 miles along the River Severn and/or Severn Valley Railway from Bridgnorth to Stourport and the Staffs & Worcs Canal to Stourbridge.

The relay is for 4 people with legs of 8, 6, 10 & 10 miles

Race Information

Race Day: Saturday 28th September 2019

Start Time: 10:00

Start: Field off Kings Loade, Bridgnorth, WV16 4DA

Finish area is at the Bonded Warehouse, Canal Street, Stourbridge, DY8 4LU.

Latest SRC Anniversary League

Leading the away in the SRC Anniversary league after two races (Birmingham Cross Country league & Action Heart 5 miles) is Rob Colman followed by Rob Taylor and Pete Walters. Please view the link Latest SRC Anniversary League for the latest anniversary league. Well done to Rob Colman for achieving 73.75% for his age grading performance at Action Heart.

The next anniversary league race is on Saturday 23rd March the Dudley Parkrun at 9am please click here for more info, we will be doing this same event later within the year (Saturday 2nd November) to see if you can progress with your times.

Press Report – 4th March 2019

Stourbridge Running Club had runners out at a variety of races this weekend. At the Groundhog Marathon, Tim Lloydlangston ran 26 miles or 104 laps of Telford Running Track in 4:21:16.

At the Action Heart 5 mile, Rob Colman was first back for the club in 32:38. Pete Walters was next home in 33:50, followed by Phil Elwell in 48:44 and Nicola Jones in 1:03:37.

And at the Rhayader Round the Lakes Steve Burch ran the hilly 30km course in 2:35:21.
