Stourbridge STAGGER Marshals – Thank you!

Dear Marshal

Thank you so much for your support yesterday at the Stourbridge Stagger. I was overwhelmed from the very beginning when so many of you turned up early to help set up the course and registration area.   The atmosphere in and around the Hub and out on the course was positive and uplifting. The feedback given by the runners, both at the end of the race and on Facebook is how motivating and friendly the marshals were and the photos already posted reinforce this. You all played an important role in the success of the race and I cannot thank you […]

Stourbridge STAGGER A BIG Success & Thank you

Dear Members,

I would like to say, on behalf of the whole club, a very big THANK YOU to the race sub committee for organising and executing a very successful 2019 Stagger. We had nearly 500 people enter the main event and 85 in the 7k run. That’s nearly 600 entries, more than we have previously had before.
I was particularly struck by the way everyone supported Helen and her team and turned up to prepare the park for the race. There was even a large contingency there at 7.30am….and it wasn’t just the offer of bacon sarnies […]

Club Membership 2019

Dear members,

Please note if you haven’t yet renewed your Stourbridge Running Club membership for 2019 if you are able to complete by the end of January. We do have a new online membership payment system which is a much improved and faster payment system for your membership with Stourbridge Running Club. We have made investment into this new system, hosted by membermojo, to make it as easy as possible for you to renew. Press Report – 23rd January 2019

Marathon training preparations continued for members of Stourbridge Running Club with a contingent of runners taking on the Gloucester half marathon at the weekend.

Rob Colman was first back for the club, finishing the undulating, rural course in 1.30.40. He was followed by Phoebe Packham in 1.35.23 and Keith Spokes in 1.42.31. Rachel Batchelor achieved a PB in 1.43.36 and Bob Hopkins finished in 1.50.24.

At the Builth Wells 5k, Nicola Jones finished in 38.11.

Marathon training 2019 – Sunday mornings

Tim’s Sunday morning marathon training group which is catered for most abilities from 9 to 12 minute per mile with regular stops, there maybe additional faster group in the coming weeks when pace and distance gets longer. We meet every Sunday morning at 8.30am by the main gates in Mary Stevens Park except for Sunday 3rd February due to the Stourbridge Stagger race.

Press Report – 10th December 2018

Stourbridge Running Club had just a few runners out this week, with Rachel Batchelor travelling to Bloxwich for the Sneyd Christmas Pudding RunRachel completed the rural, undulating 10 mile course in 1.20.18 and finished 5th in her category.

Best buddies travelled together for the Telford 10k, with Alastair Mcintosh finishing in 44.57 and Mark Lawton in 46.29.

Press Report – 26th November 2018

At the Kickass Endurance 10k at Weston Park, Stourbridge Runner Dawn Nagle won first prize in her new age category. She finished 1st o/40 Lady & 3rd overall Lady in a time of 44.52.

At the Suicide 6 at Himley Park, runners took on 6 miles of obstacles including water crossings and the notorious Jacob’s Ladder. Steve Burch was the sole runner for Stourbridge and finished the tough course in 50.33.
