Club AGM on Wednesday 23rd September 2020

Dear member,

We are holding the club AGM this year on 23rd September 2020 at 8.45pm after the Wednesday night run! Please see below the links a financial report for 2019, a nominations form and an Agenda for the meeting. At this point I must apologise for not presenting the minutes from the last meeting. I have made contact the last club secretary for her notes but they haven’t come through yet. (Needless to say the only important motion, I can recall being past, was to pay me £1000.00 per annum for being such a nice bloke)

Covid-19 – SRC Update

Dear Member,
The club still remains closed for the foreseeable future but the good news is that we can now run with other members if we so wish.
It was announced that we are able to meet with up to five members not in our immediate family household, as long as we follow social distancing rules. That includes meeting in outdoor spaces and staying more than two meters apart at all times. I believe, therefore, that club members who want to run in small groups of up to six runners in total […]

Press Report – 25th February 2019

Stourbridge Running Club made a long weekend of it, taking a group a runners to Leeds for the Saucony English National Cross Country Championships at Harewood House, a country estate between Leeds and Harrogate.
In the men’s 12km race Ed Davies was first back in 50:50, with Rob Colman finishing in 52:17, Steve Burch 58:03 and James Bellamy in 1:01:13. Event photos seemed to show Team Captain James enjoying the race more than the other runners.
In the Ladies 8km Chloe Pearson finished in 38:09, followed by Phoebe Packham 38:25, Lara Pentreath 40:46, Grace Allen 40:55 and Tabatha Trigg in 43:46, giving […]

Stourbridge STAGGER Marshals – Thank you!

Dear Marshal

Thank you so much for your support yesterday at the Stourbridge Stagger. I was overwhelmed from the very beginning when so many of you turned up early to help set up the course and registration area.   The atmosphere in and around the Hub and out on the course was positive and uplifting. The feedback given by the runners, both at the end of the race and on Facebook is how motivating and friendly the marshals were and the photos already posted reinforce this. You all played an important role in the success of the race and I cannot thank you […]

Stourbridge STAGGER A BIG Success & Thank you

Dear Members,

I would like to say, on behalf of the whole club, a very big THANK YOU to the race sub committee for organising and executing a very successful 2019 Stagger. We had nearly 500 people enter the main event and 85 in the 7k run. That’s nearly 600 entries, more than we have previously had before.
I was particularly struck by the way everyone supported Helen and her team and turned up to prepare the park for the race. There was even a large contingency there at 7.30am….and it wasn’t just the offer of bacon sarnies […]
