SRC Membership 2020/21

Dear member,

We hope you have enjoyed the extended 2019 membership period (January–March), which has now brought the Stourbridge Running Club membership period in line with England Athletics affiliation.
Membership fees for 2020/21 are now due and we would ask that you all renew your membership during March, in order that we can submit all EA affiliations at the beginning of April.

We hope all our members will renew their membership. The club has grown and improved during 2019 and we have had a really successful year. There are changes planned this year with the committee, which will bring new ideas to the table, to take the club further. Our focus is to give members a great experience by providing a safe and friendly running environment to improve running abilities, achieve goals and challenges but also make  new friends and socialise.

Last year we gave all members the opportunity to opt out of England Athletics Affiliation and a lot of members took this option and renewed with standard membership only.  Before you renew your membership this year, we would just like to point out some of the benefits of being EA Affiliated:

  • Discounted entry into UKA licenced races (minimum £2 per race e.g. Blakedown Bolt)
  • Eligibility to compete in cross country runs (supported and paid for by the club)
  • Access and discounts to coaching and leadership courses (which are supported by the club)
  • Access to athlete and coach development
  • Early bird ticket purchase for major athletics events
  • Entry to the Club Ballot for London Marathon place (rejection slip from main entry required)
It is appreciated that some members do not want to enter races or attend athletics events, in which case why pay an extra £16 in club fees, but being affiliated to England Athletics also gives your support to the running community. We would therefore urge you all to consider being EA affiliated again. For further information and benefits, please seeEngland Athletics website.
From 1st April 2020 England Athletics are going digital.  Once you are registered, you will be sent your digital athlete registration pack via email. You therefore need to ensure you have the correct email address entered when you renewal your membership. If you are an existing member and are renewing membership, please also login to your member profile via the myAthletics portal to check your email address is up-to-date ASAP.
The online membership payment system is an improved and faster payment system to make it as easy as possible for you to renew. Please click here for the Stourbridge Running Club membership portal 2020.

Please note when using this payment portal for ALL existing members you will need to click sign in (in the top right hand corner of the page) with the email address you provided previously. ALL new members will need to click Join Us/Renew and wait for approval.

For ALL family memberships you will ONLY need to sign in with one family member first, then after clicking the NEXT button you will then need to add the second family member.  This should then add the second member to the shopping basket and you will get confirmation of who has been added on the next screen before you go to the payment page. Any additional family members wishing to join or alternative payment procedure eg.(social and standard membership) please see committee member at a club night.

Please ensure you renew your membership BEFORE the end of March 2020. If you do not renew your membership by the deadline, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be a member of Stourbridge Running Club and in line with GDPR regulations, unregistered members will have their details removed from our database and Facebook members page.
Any questions, please see Helen Evans, Membership Secretary, during a club night, or email.

Kind Regards
Stourbridge Running Club
