Dear Marshal
Thank you so much for your support yesterday at the Stourbridge Stagger. I was overwhelmed from the very beginning when so many of you turned up early to help set up the course and registration area. The atmosphere in and around the Hub and out on the course was positive and uplifting. The feedback given by the runners, both at the end of the race and on Facebook is how motivating and friendly the marshals were and the photos already posted reinforce this. You all played an important role in the success of the race and I cannot thank you enough.
Everyone worked as a team and that came through with the comments we have received. I may have been race director on the day, but I simply gave direction and helped with the organisation. You, the marshals, are the ones which made it happen. Without your support, my role would have been impossible. I’m immensely proud to be a member of Stourbridge Running Club and honoured to be a part of such a great event.
If you didn’t manage to collect your goodie bag at the end, please let me know. You may not get a banana now, but we still have plenty of towels and chocolate bars left for you to have.
